Summer is finally over!

My little boy is going to school. He's very excited, I cried on the drive home after dropping him off for his first day. I am such a sap!

I never thought I would be excited about the end of summer, but with gardening, mowing and taking care of two little boys I haven't had any spare time. We have plenty of great homegrown fruits and vegies as you can see, and now that it's slowing down, I should have some time to breathe and get back to my writing.

Where did the summer go?

I can't believe that this summer is coming to an end already! I didn't get to half the things I had planned on doing, but I'm going to forgive myself. It's not like I was sitting around my house eating bon-bons and watching Oprah. Raising two little boys takes a lot more time than I had anticipated. I've been plugging away on my books, a little at a time when I have a few spare minutes, and we've done a little traveling. Mostly, the mundane every day tasks of taking care of children, a house, and my gardens have taken up all my time. The good news is that I'm looking forward to fall and winter, just to get away from all the yard work and hopefully have more time to write.

Am I interesting?

I must not be nearly as interesting as I once thought I was. Nothing to talk about since I started this thing in July? Well I did have a few things happen. I had a baby and moved. I guess the problem was that I was too busy and just forgot about my barely begun blog. Now I have to end this post because baby's calling, but here's a pic of the new little guy.

I've done it

I've finally put the effort into starting my own blog, and it wasn't nearly as difficult as I had worried. I'm not exactly on top of the technology world, but I did it! Now to add pictures and all the other cool stuff. Well... maybe tomorrow.
